The adventure starts at a small underground station, from which trains carry visitors deep into the mountain. Then you walk through an amazing series of caverns, each containing a more bizarre array of rock formations than the last. The guides point out the most interesting curtains and columns, and draw your attention to stalactites and stalagmites that resemble various objects in the world above.

Visitors to the cave are dazzled by a wealth of speleothems: calcite formations, stalactites and stalagmites abounding in a variety of shapes, colours and age. You will be shown the mysterious, and unique amphibian Proteus Anguinus or Human Fish as it is popularly called. Only 9 km away stands one of the most interesting baroque castles of Slovenia, the Predjama castle. It hangs dramatically in the middle of 123 m high rocky cliff.
